A Gardener Looks at Her Garden

While looking through old papers, I found this in my mother's Bible.  It was too precious.  She loved the Lord and wanted her life to reflect Him.

My life is a garden.
Your life is a garden.

Is it a waste, untilled and wild?
Like an untaught, untrained child?
Or is it good soil under the Master's Hand?
Is my soul His own cherished land?

Is it grown thick with thistle and wild?
Or has it been sown with His good seed?
What is the harvest from this life?
Goodness and love, or hatred and strife?

O Lord, take this stony ground of mine.
Make it all, completely Thine?
Only then can it ever yield,
The pleasant fruits of a godly field.
Amen and Amen.

Is He Weeping?

My eyes flood with tears and my heart broken as I see my beloved.
He is weeping.
I run to Him wanting to console.
I can not help but also weep.
Oh Jesus, precious Jesus why do You weep?

I weep for My precious ones,
My chosen ones whom I love, you see they have no time for Me.
They say they love Me but they do not come.
They are not devoted to Me but to many other things.
At one time they desired Me.
I was once their new found love.
I weep for My dear precious ones.

Nothing more I can do, I paid all at the cross,
I bought them with a price. Tell them I still love them.
I desire them and they are still Mine.
Remind them of My tender mercies and everlasting love.
Say to them to not let their hearts grow cold instead draw near to Me.

Does Jesus weep over His people today as He wept over the city of Jerusalem?
A personal visit He gave them but rejected.

He invites us to come into His presence. Love Him and adore Him. Worship Him.

PS 95:6-7 NKJV Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.

Restored Besides Still Waters

O God!
Weary from life's frustrations and struggles,
My own resources and abilities I question.
I feel inept, downtroddened, and unworthy.
As David cried out, I too cry out,
"Why are you downcast, O my soul?"
"Why so disturbed within me?"

Beside the still waters I find Him.
Restore my soul.
Quiet my soul with Your love.
Experiencing His wonderful love,
A smile He brings to my lips.
His love and kindness,
His beauty I behold.

Beside the still waters,
Words of praise I proclaim!
Your Majesty,
O Lamb of God,
King of kings and Lord of lords,
Holy and awesome is Your Name.
You are worthy of praise!
My precious Jesus I love you!
With Him my joy is complete.

Still Waters Liken To........

Beside still waters.....
Is liken to sitting at His feet.
The anticipation and excitement comes
As He draws me into His wonderfulness.
So near to Him!
He seeks my love and devotion.

Quietness and peace found
Beside these still waters.....
Is liken to being near to Him.
Serenity!
Near Him my needs met and
Hears my cry "Have mercy on me".
He is always there for me.

The joy that is found
At these still waters....
Is liken to my Jesus.
He brings a smile to my lips
And fills my heart with joy.
His presence is a place,
A place I want to stay.

These still waters
An open invitation......
Is liken to always an invitation
To "Come, sit at My feet".
Enjoy Me, be near Me.
Let us fellowship together.

Excitement, anticipation?  Always!
To these still waters I return.

As a Child

Lord, I want that child-like faith!

A child.......
when they talk about You or to You....
they see You.
They know You are so real to them!
Even though they do not see You,
they love You.
They are not afraid nor
ashamed to say, "I love You."

Come As Little Children

The little children come to Me.
They move about without much thought,
And say what is on their heart.

These little children with inquisitive minds,
They look and examine what is Mine.....
the hair, the clothes, the hands and feet.

All their thoughts are about play and say,
"Jesus, will You come play with me?"
As we play....
we run and jump, dance and twirl.
Oh what fun we have!

Each give their kiss goodbye,
My heart wells up inside.
I pray to the Father....
As they grow in age,
Keep their hearts strong and
May they always return to Me!

Hold On To Me Lord

Lord, hold on to me tight!

As a child, He holds my hand,
I have no idea where we go.
As a child I just follow,
Asking no questions.
Wherever we go,
I know I will be safe.
I trust Your leading, Lord.

It may be the desert we travel,
to go round and round,
until my will and desires are given up.
It may be through the valleys or to mountain tops,
but He never lets go of my hand.

I keep holding tight to His hand,
Fore I know, if I let go,
My focus can become distracted!

As I look upon His face,
His smile of assurance is all I need.
I hold tight His hand.
Lead me Jesus, I trust.

Holding Your hand, Lord
I know you are not far!
With the other hand
I carry a banner that reads,
"the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go"
(Joshua 1:9b)

A Wheel???

A wheel, Lord?  Why a wheel?

"I want you to become as a wheel."

I know of the wheel spoken of by Ezekiel.  This wheel was moved by the Holy Spirit.  Wherever the Spirit would go the wheel(s) would go.  Lord, I want to be in motion, moving along empowered and directed by the Holy Spirit.  I want to go where the Spirit goes.

"Move in the direction of My Spirit."

Oh, the effects of the "wheel".  This "wheel" empower by the Holy Spirit with Agape love can reach out to others and minister love and compassion.  They will know the effects of the "wheel" when kindness and gentleness are displayed.

"I abide in you and you abide in Me."

United in Agape Love

The Bridegroom unites His Bride with His powerful Agape Love!

Unite us in Jesus name and give us a spirit of unity among ourselves as we follow Christ Jesus with one heart and mouth that we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom. 15:5-6).

May Your truth unite us and bind us together.  You are the Truth and Life and no one comes to the Father but through Him.  Lord, let us not become like the people the prophet Jeremiah preached to who would not listen to Truth.  They did not accept the truth Jeremiah was telling them. He told of destruction to come for them if they did not turn from doing things their own way.  They did not accept the truth and destruction came.

If one today will not accept truth and still want to do it their own way, there would have been no reason for Jesus to come and to have gone through agony and suffering and die on the cross.   I stand on God's plan, His truth that Jesus is the Way and the Truth and Life.

BROTHERS & SISTERS IN CHRIST AS ONE

 Becoming one, unite.
Enter this new life
Brothers and sisters in Christ
becoming one united.

A given hope through the cross,
 Jesus died for us.
Love came down from heaven above
Touched the soul, heart, and mind
 To become one with Him.

Glory to God.
His majesty reigns
 Now and forever more!
Brothers and Sisters united we are
Christ binding our hearts.....
 Together we unite.

He is our firm foundation
Rooted and grounded in Him.
The resurrected life we will
See for all eternity.
                                                                 Being one united.

That Moment in Time

It was impressed upon me at an early age while at church camp, the awesomeness and greatness of the Almighty God.  This was the first as a child that I remember His presence.

The setting was so perfect.  With an early sunrise, we walked to a nearby lake.  Everything was so quiet except for the birds singing their beautiful songs.  Our counselor had devotions and we sang "This Is My Father's World".  Singing this song, impressed upon me that He is the Almighty God.  He is the creator and that God created the world and everything in it.  He was there in our presence!  That moment in time has always been a remarkable experience for me.  However, it wasn't until years later that I asked Jesus into my heart.

Even today when I sing this song, it speaks to my heart and 'declares the Makers praise'
written by Arlene Miner

"THIS IS MY FATHER'S WORLD"
This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears, all nature sings,
and round me rings, the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world, I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas -
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world,
The birds their carols raise, the morning light,
the lily white, declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world, He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me ev-'ry-where.

This is my Father's world,
O let me ne'er forget, that though the wrong
seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father's world, The battle is not done,
Jesus who died shall be satisfied, And earth and heav'n be one.  Amen

Agape Love in Perseverance

Perseverance is hard Lord!  It is too much and it is too difficult.  I just want to quit!!

The Lord showed me that is when I am trying to do things in my own strength!  Ouch that hurt!.  Why do I do this, Lord?  I know better.

The Lord told me, "Do not fear, I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am Your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

You are my encouragement, Lord.  The power of Your Agape Love strengthens, and helps me, and lifts me up!  Thank You, Jesus.

Agape Love in Patience

Whew!!!  Yesterday I did a lot of waiting.  I am not good at waiting, especially in doctor and dentist offices and also in check-out lines.  Yesterday I was at the hospital for a stress test which took almost four hours.

In my early on waiting period, God showed up and told me "now would be a good time to learn Agape Love in patience".  Oh, boy!

He showed me being  impatient is self-centeredness and I am not in control.  I had never thought about it this way; and patience includes mercy.  Mercy for the check-out person and those who are doing their job to serve me.

Past and Present:  God was/is patient and He showed/shows mercy to me.

Patience is a work in progress.  "My help comes from the Lord."

God's Heartbeat is Love

Walking on the beach this morning in the loose, sifting sand, it is hard to walk!  It brought to my mind an old hymn, "Love Lifted Me".

"Love lifted me! Love Lifted me!  When nothing else could help, Love lifted me."

Lord, I surrender it all to You, all my cares & concerns, worries, doubts, & fears and lay them at Your feet.
And now Lord, with Your Love (Agape) lift me up.

Heart Revival

I am noticing heart changes in me!

Heart changes has given me a new awareness.  It is like a new kind of love and new personal adventures.  God told me to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, and patience.  But most importantly clothe myself with love (Agape).

OMG!   I can imagine if churches were so full and oozing out with Agape Love, running out the church doors and to wherever!  It is His power that is at work within us (me) that He can do more than we can ask or imagine.  (Eph. 3:20)

Three Times He Asked

"Do you love Me?";  "Do you love Me?";  "Do you love Me?"  Lord, is Agape Love what You were seeking from Peter?

Lord, I want to WOW Your heart!  I want to love You back with a greater love.

"Be devoted to be close to Me.  Continue to seek Me and seek My presence.  Draw yourself close to Me and delight yourself in Me. Love Me this way.

Do you know I want you as much in the same way?  I will draw close to you.  I will take great delight in you.  I will quiet you with My Agape Love.  I will rejoice over you with singing.   (Zeph.3:17).
Enjoy My Agape Love!

I receive your love."

Walking In Agape Love

My affirmation:
"I am walking in His Agape Love.  I am covered in His Agape Love. I am surrounded by Agape Love. He is behind me. He goes before me and hems me in.  Even though I am not there with Agape Love, He allows me to walk in His Agape Love."

My Agape Love covered your multitude of sins at the cross. Agape Love forgave all your sins and they are remembered no more.  My Agape Love set you free from sin and death and runs as wide and long, high and deep.

By walking in MY Agape Love, I will keep you strong and encouraged.  Don't be anxious about anything!  And this means the worry, doubts, and fears.  Agape Love covers it all!

AGAPE LOVE

Lord, teach me about Your Agape Love.
Agape Love comes from ME. You have asked ME to fill you with MY Agape Love, but I do not just zap it into a person but is a process.  Prepare yourself to be able to receive.

Stay devoted to stay close to ME, (Jer.30:21a).

Learn to love yourself with Agape Love, unconditionally!  Accept yourself, I made you as an individual, with MY unique qualities.  Learn this and soon you will see others with Agape Love, unconditionally.  Each one is uniquely made. MY Agape Love will be like flowing rivers, from ME to you, then to others.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  (PS. 139)

I will see how this goes.  Just trying to get the feel of this.  I like to write and put my thoughts on paper.  I can speak my heart through writing.
